Help us end our 20th year in operation on a strong note by supporting our new Long Beach Street Team program that will launch in the Spring of 2022. Fundraising efforts for this new program will begin on Giving Tuesday (November 30) through the end of the calendar year (December 31).
The Long Beach Street Team (LBST) is an inter-generational program that will engage teens and elders in their respective communities in safe spaces to share, teach, and learn and preserve from their experiences.
Features: Bonding people to recognize their value more and learn about others through video recorded dialogue.
Impact: Bridging generational, community, and racial gaps with honest Q&A and discussions while creating lasting relationships.
Benefits: Offering an "in-person", safe space educational opportunity. We will instruct teens on how to improve their reading, writing, and verbal skills by empowering them to produce their own stories through research, preparation of their interviews, and presentations.
Purpose: LBST will instruct youth in:
1. Life/Leadership Skills
2. Relationship Development
3. Reading, Writing, and Oral Presentation
